Obituary for William "Bill" Richard Centers

William “Bill” Richard Centers, 84, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Salem, IN, on June 6, 1937, he was the son of the late John and Clara Centers. Bill will be remembered as a loyal Husband, fantastic Brother, superb Father and an extraordinarily loving Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, whose commitment and dedication to his family is only rivaled by his love of them. The epitome of honorable, selfless and wise, a shining example of a man whose light will be exemplified in generations to come. Born of coal mines and thimbles of moonshine, from a one room schoolhouse in a Kentucky holler to his love of the gut bucket blues of Mississippi sharecroppers as a small child, his vast knowledge was attained through self-education, countless travel, trials and tribulations in his voyage of life. His impact on the ones he leaves behind cannot be overstated! In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother: Ford Centers; sister: Bobbie Jean Anderson and grandchildren: Cade Hill and Nevaeh Kennedy. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years: Grace Centers; daughters: Tracy (Kenneth) Hill and Marie Esposito; brother: John Centers; grandchildren: Seth, Niles, Alysia, Taygan, Tasya, Landon, Abby and Robert and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be expressed on Facebook or at SerenityFuneralCare.com
