Thomas Gerald “Jerry” Clenney, 89, of Covington, KY, formerly of Springdale, OH and Costa Mesa, CA, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. Born in Covington on December 10, 1933, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Clenney. Jerry was a graduate of Holmes High School and grew up playing in Devou Park. He went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Jerry raised his family in Springdale, OH and then moved to Costa Mesa, CA for 20 years before returning to the Northern Kentucky Area. He loved music, especially opera and was known for his voice and was featured on the Nick Clooney and Lynn Mink T.V. Shows. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son: Michael Clenney; sister: Patricia Fleckenstein and grandson: Kyle Simmons. Jerry is survived by his son: Todd (Doretta) Clenney; daughter: Karen Clenney; brothers: Rev. Tyrone (Scotty) Clenney and Christopher Clenney; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
