Steven “Steve” Robert Motyka, 54, of Dayton, KY, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, with his loving mother by his side. Born in Park Ridge, IL on February 6, 1968, he was the son of Rose and the late Bob Motyka. Steve was a graduate of Rolling Meadows High School in Chicago, IL. He later moved to the Northern Kentucky area where he started JPR Construction, which he owned and operated for 15 years. Steve enjoyed golfing, antiquing and finding items to repurpose. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially going on adventures with his children. Steve will always be remembered for being a great father, his big heart and his willingness to do anything for the people around him. As a final act of kindness, he was able to donate his corneas to give another person the gift of sight. Steve is survived by his mother: Rose (Ray Orsi) Motyka; son: Jonah Motyka; daughter: Piper Motyka; sister: Kristin (Thomas Hinton) Motyka and a large, extended group of family and friends.
