Randolph “Randy” Carl Spinks, 67, of Newport, went to be with our Lord on Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood surrounded by family. Born on August 28, 1954 in Fort Thomas, he was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Spinks Jr. Randy was a gentle soul and kind person with a heart of gold, willing to help anyone who needed help. He was an author and talented musician, playing keyboard for several years for a local band named Aspergrasp. Randy will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy (Boswell) Woods. He is survived by his brothers: Chuck (Connie) Spinks and Brian Spinks; sister: Julie (Marty) Horan; nephews: Bill (Angie) Johnson, Charles (Catherine) Spinks, and Andrew (Amy) Spinks; nieces: Monica (Aaron) Gumz and Natalie (Ryan) Morgan; 17 great-nephews and great-nieces, several cousins, as well as lifelong friends Lynn Deaton and Curt Hatfield.
