Rachael Marie Merrill, 36, of Newport, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Born in Ft. Thomas, KY, on November 6, 1985, she was the daughter of David and the late Karen Merrill. Rachael was a 2002 graduate of American High School. She enjoyed baking, making jewelry, and listening to Metallica. Rachael loved to travel with her family to places like New York City, L.A., Washington D.C., Florida and Hawaii. In addition to her mother, Rachael was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Tom McDaniel and Don Snell. Rachael is survived by her father: David (Audrey) Merrill; brother: Troy Merrill; sisters: Tammy Merrill and Melody (Kevin) Knight; nephews: Troy Merrill Jr., Joshua Merrill, Cameron Merrill and Andrew Knight; nieces: Taylor Merrill, Jessica Merrill and Alexandra Merrill; grandmothers: Gloria McDaniel and Pearl Snell; her beloved cat: Sam and a large extended family.
