Phala Frances Hartzog Simmons passed on Jan. 14, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Kentucky. She was born Dec. 29, 1931 in Kentwood, LA to Preston and Florine (Robin) Hartzog. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Rudolph Miller, and Jesse A. Simmons, Jr.; sons, Stewart, Matthew, and Mark Miller, and daughter, Jennifer Miller. She is survived by children, Luke Miller, John Miller (Melissa), and Leah Simmons Dunn (Terry); grandchildren, Delaney Miller, Phillip, Clare, Brigid, and Maeve Dunn and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 22 beginning at 12:00 until the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rita Catholic Church. Internment will be at Alexandria Memorial Gardens. The family requests guests to wear masks. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice or St. Frances Cabrini School.
