Pastor Chester Tracy Smith, 64, of Covington, KY, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 25, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Salem, OH, on May 26, 1958, he was the son of the late Chester and Helen Smith. Chester was a 1975 graduate of Live Oaks Trade School in Goshen, OH and went on to work as an Independent Truck Driver for over 10 years. He also pastored a church while he and his family lived in Denver, CO. Chester enjoyed spending his free time camping and woodworking. He also enjoyed working on cars and on his Harley. Chester loved being outdoors and felt most at home playing his guitar around a bonfire. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter: Sophia Grace Smith. Chester is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years: Vickey Smith; sons: Russell (Melissa) Smith and James (Marilyn) Gibson; daughter: Traci Smith-O’Day; sister: Barbara (Richard) Dudas; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
