Obituary for Mark "Moose" Edward Lockwood
Mark Edward Lockwood, 68, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, with
his devoted wife and family by his side. Born in Cincinnati, OH, on August 18, 1954, he was the
son of the late Clayton and Vera Lockwood. Mark was a graduate of University of Cincinnati,
College of Engineering, receiving his BSCE and MSCE. He went on to work for The H.C. Nutting
Company for many years as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. In addition, he was a former
member of numerous engineering societies. In 1990 he was awarded the prestigious Technical
Societies Council, Young Engineer of the Year. Mark, also known as “Moose,” for his weightlifting prowess, spent many of his years camping on his beloved Indiana farm with family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife: Justine O’Brien; son: Jim Lockwood; daughter: Lauren (Christian) Klim; brothers: Greg (Suzanne) Lockwood and Tom (June) Lockwood; sister: Diane (Greg) Kriemer and his grandchildren: Grace, Emily and Ben Klim. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5pm, with Eulogy to follow, at the Chardonnay Community Clubhouse, Chardonnay Drive and Nappa Valley, Cold Spring, KY 41076, chardonnaycommunity.com/about.
