Obituary for Loren David Kyrk

Loren David Kyrk, 65, of Petersburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Born in Mill Creek, IN on September 19, 1956, he was the son of the late Rev. Rueben and Maxine Kyrk.Loren and his wife Christina shared a special deep love for each other that others could easily see. Their bible-based faith gave them strength through each day. Even though he suffered daily for the last 20 years from a painful illness that disabled him, he did not give up and did what he could; he always cheered others up on the phone, and made them laugh again. Their daughter Danielle had a very special place in his heart, so did his 2 grandbabies. Loren spent many hours researching and studying the Bible and even taught himself to read Hebrew. He enjoyed being outdoors in nature, watching animals and telling stories. Loren played football in High School and was an avid football and baseball fan all his life. He loved music and sound and worked as a manager for several different sound centers like HH Greg. Loren will always be remembered for being a people person, his wonderful sense of humor and his nightly chocolate milkshake. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years: Christina Kyrk; daughter: Danielle (Adam) Kyrk-Centers; sister: Lyn (Anthony) Rowe; niece: Kelsey (Justin Rodriquez) Stivers; grandchildren: Oliver Centers and Everly Centers and a large extended family. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be expressed on Facebook or at SerenityFuneralCare.com
