Joann Blanton, 85, of Erlanger, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Born in Harlan, KY, on April 21, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Lena Anderson. Joann worked all her life and enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino in her free time. She loved her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Norman Blanton; brother: George Merritt and sister: Wilena Anderson. Joann is survived by her sons: William (Belinda) Markus and Tom Blanton; daughters: Rhonda (Rick) Peters and Sonya Blanton; brothers: Dayton Merritt, Bill (Sharon) Anderson and Roger Anderson; sisters: Joyce Blakey, Janet Williams, Nancy Bridewell, Doris Moore, Judy Merritt, Barbara Hensley, Linda Thomas and Sharm Dunn; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
