Jeffrey “Jeff” Earl Marlar, 78, 0f Independence, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY, surrounded by his family. Born in Cincinnati, OH, on May 21, 1944, he was the son of the late Howard Marlar and Laura Mowery Marlar Hopkins. Jeff proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and was stationed on the U.S.S. Rich in the Mediterranean Sea. His hobbies included Guerilla Farming, history and photography. In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brothers: Michael Marlar and Gregory Hopkins and sister: Eva Marlar. Jeff is survived by his brothers: Luther Marlar, Curtis Marlar and Roscoe Hopkins, Jr.; sisters: Deborah Hopkins-Dow; Alma Marlar and Brenda Marlar-Ruiz and numerous nieces and nephews.
