Obituary for Jackie Clem Harvey

Jackie Clem Harvey, 69, of Independence, KY, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dunlap, TN on July 12, 1953, he was the son of the late Curtis Smith and Frankie Mae (Nee: Harvey) Kilgore. Jackie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and went on to work as a crane operator for IPSCO Steel, formerly Newport Steel, for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. He loved to spend time with his family, especially traveling to Tennessee to visit relatives. In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his son: Adam Harvey and sister: Charlotte Kerley. Jackie is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years: Cindy Harvey; sons: Curtis (Jessica) Harvey and Ben (Emily) Harvey; daughter: Denise: Harvey; brothers: C.L. Harvey, James Harvey, Lynn Maynor and Rick (Ginger) Maynor; sisters: Jane (Jack) Lloyd, Reta Maynor-Hernandez, Sandy (Lance) Anderson and Robin Hudson and grandchildren: Ryan, Cori, Eliza, Louise, Grace, Adam, Aubrey and Alivia. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until the Memorial Service at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011. Pastor Ryan Burkart will officiate the services. Interment with Military Honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY.
