Obituary for Gregory Anthony Baker

Gregory Anthony Baker, 55, of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on December 27, 2023. He was born on September 24,1968, to Charles and Mary Ann Baker of Edgewood, Kentucky.

Greg loved his time growing up on the farm in Crittenden. He attended Covington Catholic High School. After graduating, he pursued his calling for building homes and became a master carpenter. Greg’s passion was fishing, and he loved his annual trips with family and friends to Lake Erie every summer.

Greg will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help those in need. His wonderful, and sometimes wicked, sense of humor was a blessing to those who knew him. His laugh was infectious.

Greg is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary Catherine Jordan, paternal grandparents Kirk and Sophie Kirkpatrick, and uncle Thomas “Buzz” Jordan.

Greg is survived by parents Charles and Mary Ann Baker, siblings Jeanie Baker (Adel AlDulijan), Beth Baker, Ric Baker (Karen), and Kelly Kremer (Scott), daughter Courtney Cross (Jeremy), grandchildren Aubrey and Easton Cross, eleven nieces and nephews, and seven great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at noon at Mother of God Church, 119 West 6th Street, Covington, Kentucky 41011. A gathering to honor and celebrate Greg’s life will be held immediately following the Mass in the undercroft of the church. Friends are warmly welcomed.
