Obituary for Gabriel Grant Canazarro
Gabriel Grant Canazarro, beloved son of Melissa McClure and Christopher Canazarro, passed away on March 23, 2023. He was born August 17, 1992 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Gabriel grew up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and later went on to live in Nebraska, Iowa and most recently, Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended DMACC and the University of Nebraska. He had a passion for music and was a talented guitarist. His love of travel took him to many countries and he explored nearly every state. Gabriel especially loved camping and hiking and being in nature. Most of all, he loved the time he spent with his treasured friends and family. Gabriel’s sharp sense of humor and caring nature was evident to all who knew him.
Gabriel will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, his stepfather Martin Franks, his son Emerson Canazarro, his grandfather Dennis Harwood and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Bonnie Harwood, and Shirley & DeWayne McClure.
A family celebration of Gabriel's life will be held at the Holiday Inn Des Moines on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to SPCA Cincinnati in Gabriel's memory.
