Elijah Earl McClane, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. He was born in Butler, KY on August 7, 1938 to the late George and Margaret McClane. Lige was a veteran having proudly served his country in the United States Army. Lige worked as a machinist for American Tool. Along with his loving wife Carol, he spent many years touring the country on the truck pulling circuit. Lige enjoyed all motorsports, University of Kentucky basketball and University of Louisville baseball. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed beyond measure. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol McClane; daughter, Denise Solomon (Mark); grandchildren, Eric (Nancy) Solomon, Amy Snyder and Brooke (Josh) Kramer; great grandchildren, Evan, Reid, Aubrey and Eliza; siblings, Estella May Gosney, Martha McGaha and Aleen Toll; as well as many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
