Dennis C. Kern, of Burlington, KY, formerly of Fairview Hgts, IL, passed away on November 16th, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 13th, 1941, in Belleville, IL. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Kern and Marie Kern (nee Guetterman) of Freeburg, IL. He is survived by his two sons, Michael Kern of El Paso, TX and Stephen Kern of Burlington, KY; ex-wife, Jo Ann Kern-Wolf of Coulterville, IL; sister, Carol Rodriguez of Freeburg, IL; three granddaughters, Danielle (Adam) Peterson of Taylor Mill, KY, Ashley (Daniel) Cummings of Erlanger, KY and Angela Kern of Erlanger, KY; grandson, Christopher Elliot; eleven great-grandchildren; niece and nephews. Dennis owned Kern’s Auto Rebuilders, in Belleville, IL and contracted with Norfolk Southern Railroad in Cincinnati, OH. He was a member of the American Legion, enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, golfing, but most of all, Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
