Charles Douglas Powell, 63, of Covington, KY, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021. Born on September 29, 1957, in Manchester, KY, he was the son of Nancy and the Late Bob Powell. He attended Holmes High School and then worked as a truck driver for over 10 years. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the movies and going to the firing range. In addition to his father, Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 26 years: Katrina Jenkins-Powell; step-father: Alery Smith Jr., brother: Wayne Powell; and sisters: Rosa Lee Long, Eva Klopfer, Penny Ratliff and Sandy Smith. Charles is survived by his mother: Nancy Smith; sons: DJ Jenkins and Cameron Powell; daughter: Melissa Powell; brother: Allen (Renee) Smith; sisters: Bessie (Darrell) Long and Joyce Steers and grandchildren: Kenny Wayne, Jimmy and Katrina. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011.
